– White glue

– Square picture

– Foam brush

– Fine sandpaper

– Scrap paper

– Scissors or paper cutter

– Black acrylic paint

– 6-by-6-inch square canvas

Directions:

1. Take the picture that you would like to create a print of. Resize the image until it is 6-by-6 inches using your computer, then the print using the best printer settings. Make sure that all the other items for creating the canvas print are nearby before getting down to business.

2. Trim the image into a perfect square using the paper cutter. It is important that the print and the canvas are of the same size. Place the print over the canvas to confirm it.

3. Using the fine sandpaper, sand the front of the canvas. This helps the white glue to adhere well to the canvas and print.

4. Now use the foam brush to apply a layer of white glue to the front of the canvas. Place the print on the canvas and smooth gently. Some puckers or bumps might appear. Do not worry about this because they will smooth out when the glue dries. Leave it to dry for one hour before you continue on to the next step.

5. Next, apply a layer of the white glue using the foam brush. Do it horizontally first and then vertically. If any bump appears, it will disappear by itself.

6. Apply black acrylic paint on the sides of the canvas after you have placed a piece of scrap paper under it. This makes the whole job look professional.

7. Find the perfect spot to hang the canvas print ones it has dried up and you are confident with the final product.

It is not hard at all to make a personalised canvas print yourself. Follow these steps and you will be good to go.
