With the ongoing shift to digital documents, it has become necessary for people to create their own electronic signature. Having one enables them to sign virtually without any delays. They don’t need to print a hard copy before signing with a pen and mailing it back — a process that may take days or weeks to complete. They can affix their signature anywhere they are in a snap. It is more convenient for everyone involved. Now the question is, how do you go about it? Here’s how to create electronic signature. Sign up for an e-signature account with a trusted service provider and do any of the following:
Draw Your Signature
Perhaps the best way is to draw your signature on a touchscreen. Use our finger to do this or find a stylus that is compatible with the screen technology. It should feel more natural than other methods as you are using your hands in almost the same way as when you’re using a pen. You should be able to recreate your signature faithfully with a few tries. This is a great option when creating your account using a smart phone, a tablet, or a hybrid laptop.
Upload an Image
An alternative would be to simply upload an image of your signature. Instead of draw it on a screen, you can write your signature on a piece of paper using a pen as you normally would. Take a picture of this using your smartphone and crop out the extraneous parts. This should allow you to end up with an excellent representation of your signature. Sometimes people can’t achieve the same strokes when using their fingers or stylus so they end up frustrated. This would be better for them.
Use the Cursor
If you are using a computer such as a desktop or a traditional laptop, then you can consider using the cursor to draw your signature. A mouse or touchpad would suffice. Just drag it along the signature line to make your distinct signature. This can be tricky as not all mice are calibrated well. Some are jittery and others are just hard to control
Type on the Keyboard
If all else fails, then just type your signature on your keyboard. This is the easiest by far. Just type your name and pick a font that looks similar to your paper-based signature.
When you create electronic signature, you are leaping into a more convenient paperless future.
