Thailand is usually hot thus making diving happen all year round, but the best time for Thailand diving is usually between the months of November and April. Sharks can also be spotted in the months of February to may.

The diving sites have options for divers of all levels from the beginners to the most experienced, the water is clear thus making it perfect for divers, there are so many places to choose from.

Divers can also spot about two thousand different species of fish, it also offers great spots where one can spot manta rays and whale sharks, there are over 29 liveaboards whereby individuals can go on, and also there is a lot of reef diving that one can never imagine of.

Thailand also offers different types of diving which include:

Drift diving

This is where one can dive when there are gentle currents and can also have great views of underwater. Some of the places where someone can have drift diving are; turtle Rock, koh Rok Nai, Koh Similan and East of Eden.

Live abroad diving

This is commonly used in Thailand and its usually the best way to experience diving. Most of the liveabroad usually take about 5days and 4 days to sail through the water.

Wreck diving

This is mostly done in Pattaya which is the home of wrecks such as; HTMS, HTMS Khram, and HTMS Chang. The other type is reef diving whereby in Thailand there are so many beautiful reefs which are mostly found in the national marine parks and they are such as; Koh Tarutao, Similan islands, and Koh Surin.

There are different places for diving in Thailand and they include:

Koh Tachai, Koh Bon and Richelieu

Someone can get to these places using a live aboard, and they are located between the islands of Surin and Similan. There is a wide variety of tropical fish and barracuda, pipefish, seahorses, cuttlefish and also shovelnose rays.

These places are appropriate for the most experienced divers because the currents are a bit strong.

The Similan islands

This is one of the best diving places in Thailand, and its located within the national park. There are different types of fish and also corals, turtles, and leopard shark. Similan is also one of the places that offers live abroad diving.

Koh Phi Phi

The waters in this diving site is appropriate for all types of divers. Some of the beautiful marine life that one can spot are like; turtles reef sharks, and seahorses.

Koh Lanta

This place is the home of giant moray eels, leopard sharks, and also manta and whale shark can be spotted from time to time. Most of the divers usually come here to experience the sweeping currents, and beautiful soft corals.
