Tips For Booking Travel And Tour Packages In India

From the Himalayas in the north to the beaches and temples in the south, India is a huge country with hundreds of attractions and things to do. If you are visiting India for the first time, deciding where to go and what to see can feel overwhelming. When booking Travel and Tour Packages in India, consider what the main destinations are that you really want to see because it is impossible to see everything in one trip. If you visit India once, you will want to go back again to see more.

North India

Most visitors want to see at least the main sights in Delhi and visit the Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Delhi is a fascinating city and you can easily spend days exploring its sights and shopping in the markets. A day trip from Delhi to the Taj Mahal is possible, although there are good hotels in Agra if you want to stay overnight and visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise.
From Delhi many tours continue to Jaipur, the Pink City in Rajasthan. Rajasthan is famous for its palaces, old forts and great markets and bazaars. The cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur are known for their stunning architecture, and many old palaces have been converted into luxury hotels. Those who feel adventurous can take a camel safari in the desert. And there is still a lot more to see in North India: the stunning Golden Temple in Amritsar, the hill stations in the Himalayas and the holy city Varanasi and its many temples and pilgrimage sites.

South India

The main attractions in south India include beaches, temples and the backwaters in Kerala. South India is hotter and more tropical than the north and has its own cultures and customs. There are are hundreds of fascinating temples, holy cities, pilgrimage destinations and archaeological sites around south India for those who are interested in culture and architecture.
There are many excellent beach resorts in the south, too. Goa has more than 100 km of coastline with hotels and resorts from 5-star luxury to backpacker beach huts. Kerala, further south, is one of the most favorite destinations in south India for its tropical beaches and its backwaters. A relaxed boat trip on the rivers and canals is one of the best things to do in Kerala.

Travel in India takes time. Fortunately several domestic airlines fly between all the main cities several times a day. Flights save a lot of time, although train travel in India is another experience that should not be missed.
