CBAP(Certified Business Analysis Professional) Certification is a learning program by IIBA® (International Institute of Business Analysis) for extensively experienced professionals of BA community.
The eligibility criteria to apply for CBAP certification is :
-The candidate must have a minimum of 7500 hours of experience in business analysis past 10 years.
-The candidate must have completed 35 hours of professional development in last 4 years.
-The candidate must have completed minimum 900 hours of 4 of 6 BABOK (Business Analysis Body Of Knowledge) Guide knowledge areas.
-The candidate must agree to the general terms and conditions of IIBA®.
CABP examination is comprising of 120 multiple choice questions that must be completed in 3.5 hours. CABP exam is also conducted online via proctor format or at a PSI(Psychological Services Inc) test center. The questions are formulated from BABOK guide and also depend upon case study.
The certification cost consists of three types of fee. The membership fee, application fee and examination fee. The membership fee is based on the country from which the candidate belongs. Application fee is 125 USD, exam fee is 325 USD and for non members it is 450 USD.
According to Annual Business Analysis Salary Survey by IIBA®, professionals with CBAP® certification get 13% more compensations than non- certified professionals.
