Many questions has been asked about Sterilization Paper but the most common and most important one has always been “What is Sterilization Paper?”.

Let’s see if I can answer that question, by explaining how and where it is used, in layman’s terms.

The most common use for this type of paper is in the medical industry when sterilization is of the utmost importance for life-saving conditions are considered.

This is used by creating what is called surgical packs and surgical tools packs.

By combining the paper with a transparent plastic sheet by heat to form a double Tube Shaped roll.

These rolls of special paper come in many different sizes, depending on their usage.

Once you choose your specific size container or instrument you are going to insert in the package for autoclaving, you then choose your proper size roll and seal of one end when the correct length is been cut off the roll.

By inserting your item into the now three-sided sealed paper pack you seal the fourth and last opening and you end up with a pack ready for autoclaving at temperatures and timing that will vary depending on the item you are sterilizing.

Please note the package will be quite hot when done always remove it while it is still in the tray by using the tray plastic handle that comes with the autoclave machine itself.

Once it has cooled down, you can now store it for when it is ready to be used.

The medical field will always depend heavily on sterilized tools, material, and equipment thus the paper used for the sterilization process is just as important for the industry.

The paper industry has adjusted as well to produce the best quality paper for the medical industry.

The types of bacteria and germs that are life-threatening has increased exponentially and this has caused the medical industry to only choose the best quality paper as any type of bug, today called SUPER BUGS, that appears in the medical facilities mostly comes from the usage of sterilized tools and materials and if a patient gets one of this bugs the medical facility or professional involved in the procedure or treatment of that patient when the bug appeared, will be subject to lawsuits that can cripple a facility and or the reputation of the medical professionals.
