About Counter Strike Skin Marketplaces

Many new players of Counter Strike skin marketplace Global Offensive on Steam want to be able to buy and sell skins so that they can update their look or trade their unwanted skins for new ones. One way to get skins it to play the game for long periods of time, earn skins and then trade with another player. Within the game you are entitled to skin drops (where you receive new skins for free) a maximum of 4 times a week. Once you’ve played the game for a while you’ll have some skins to trade which you can do using a Counter Strike skin marketplace.

Following are some marketplaces to sell skins. The one you prefer will depend on how much knowledge and time you have and the reason you want to sell skins: to monetize them outside the Steam environment or to trade for better skins. Following are the marketplace options you have.

Steam Market

The official market in the game is called the Steam Community Market and is popular as the default place to trade skins. It offers relatively high prices with many offers available for similar items and is the safest places to trade skins. The downside, however, is that you cannot receive cash for your skins in this marketplace; you can only use proceeds from it to buy other digital goods (such as card packs or gift cards) within the Steam platform.

Private Offers

You can also approach people directly to see if they want to buy your skins. You can do this through forums, Discord servers, social media and similar sites by creating or responding to comments. Using this approach you have a better chance of getting the price or skin that you want. The downside of this approach, if you use Steam approved sites, is that your money must be held in a Steam wallet and they may take a fee for the transaction that can be up to 15% of the amount.

Third-Party Marketplaces

Unlike Steam associated marketplaces, the ones run by third-parties will buy skins and payout in cash (usually through Paypal). While the prices may be lower than what you can achieve on Steam approved markets there is no transaction fee and you will be able to earn real money (and fast). However not all of these sites are safe and some may include scammers so you need to be wary of who you deal with.
