Here are some ideas for fun Eric Carle activities to do with your child. For example, you can try making a textured cloud or creating a word collage. These are fun, hands-on activities that your child can do with you.
Make a textured cloud:
The picture book Little Cloud by Eric Carle is a great introduction to creating a textured cloud. In it, a small cloud plays with colors and shapes to become an airplane, fluffy sheep, or clown with a funny hat. It then joins a crowd of clouds and forms a giant one. By creating collages with different colors, children can recreate this magical scene.
Children can also make their clouds using shaving cream. Adding baking soda or corn starch to the shaving cream will help it stick to the paper. Another fun activity is to paint a cloud using cookie cutters. Since the shapes will dry into different shapes, you can cut them out and create a collage.
In conclusion, Eric Carle is a great author and ambassador for children. His activities for kids are sure to please both young and old. With his unique style, Eric Carle has written many excellent books that will keep children entertained for hours on end.
