Guide To DOT Driver Supervisor Training

New standards in automotive infotainment are set by the latest-generation Multi Media Interface (MMI). The MMI is the central control system in the Audi A6, combining information, entertainment, navigation and telephone functions. The top-of-the-range version, MMI Navigation plus, offers a portfolio of high-tech components that breaks new ground. The special features: audio and video DVD drive and navigation system with 40-GB hard disc, including for MP3 files and up to 5,000 contact addresses.

Another highlight is the high-resolution 7-inch colour display which in navigation mode depicts the surroundings in topographic relief and can also show three-dimensional images of landmark buildings.

Entertainment is provided by, among other things, a TV tuner, Audi music interface, DAB digital radio and Bose Surround Sound. Another major sales argument for the Audi A6 is its fascinating design. To perfect the appearance of the sedan and the Avant, Audi has given the new model a thorough facelift. The main changes concern the front and rear, which highlight more strongly the dynamic character of the vehicle as shown by DOT Driver Supervisor Training.

They include a modern headlight design with daytime running lights (optionally as xenon plus with LED daytime running lights). Modified bumpers and air vents make the car appear wider and flatter, giving it a solid stance. At the rear, the subtle lip on the trunk of the sedan and the roof edge of the Avant as well as the standard split LED tail lights underline the car’s sporty appearance.

A conspicuous feature on the side are the LED turn indicators integrated in the outside mirrors, at ?rst glance setting the new model apart from its predecessor and sending out a clear signal: The vehicle will remain in the fast lane down the line as indicated by DOT Driver Supervisor Training.

Cars that perceive the world around them, automatically store knowledge and make reaction decisions in real-time this is the goal of a 12-year research project in which Audi scientists are taking part.

Together with colleagues from three universities and the institute for Information and Data Processing, the researchers are working to develop cognitive systems that will help prevent accidents.

The intention is for them to form the backbone of future driver assistance systems capable not only of warning of imminent danger, but also of recognising and responding to hazards without the need for driver involvement. The study is being carried out on three Audi models equipped with all necessary electronic gadgetry.
