3rd Step: Obtain a 2- to 4-year architectural technician apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship is key to building your career as an architectural CAD technician. It will help you gain hands on experience in architecture. You can apply for this at a construction site or an architectural firm.

4th Step: Secure a job as an architectural CAD technician at either the firm you are apprenticing at or another architectural or construction firm.
